Do you look for your next paycheck by the middle of each month? Are you
frustrated with your money management skills? Well, the good news is
that you are not alone.
So without any further delay, let me spit it out!
Secret#1: Plan your goals and put those on a wall
I don’t know what is your goal. But more important thing is do you know
your goals? Are you looking forward to buy your first home? Are you
looking forward to save money for your higher education? Whatever it
may be, you should note it down as this will guide you in your journey.
If your goal is to go for vacation, then put up that and plan your
budget for the vacation. Be realistic and see how much you need to
save. This will guide you in deciding when can you go for vacation.
Divide the total money required by number of months available before
you want to go for vacation and this provides you how much money you
need to save every month. Put this number on the wall and ask your
friend to check back with you on your progress each month.
Secret#2: It’s time for reality check!
Start noting down your every expense. This will show you how you are
spending money. Is there any place where you want to cut down so that
you can save more money? You be the judge and decide for yourself.
Start putting up your balance sheet i.e. money in every month or
paycheck amount and money out every month or expenses. This will show
you how you are behaving financially and this provides you an
opportunity to change your behavior.
So before I do share with you second part of this series, please do
yourself a favor and do follow the above tips.
